Felice Bianchi Anderloni, the man who founded the Milanese design house Carozzeria Touring, once said that "the weight is the enemy, and the air – an obstacle." Having set a goal to develop a car that would be "insensitive to the wind," Touring designers have created the current Alfa Romeo car based on the concept of race C52 Disco Volante in 1952. This two-seater coupe with a front center (ie, placed behind the front axle) motor. The new Disco Volante has a new hood and front fenders and a modified rear, but at the same time, borrows some details from the original model in 1952, including the partially enclosed front wheels and pronounced waist.

Alfa supercar is equipped with a steel chassis, front and rear suspension double wishbone, but most importantly – it has a 4.7-liter V8, producing 450 hp. a. and 470 Nm of torque, which drives the rear wheels through a six-speed semi-automatic transmission. Despite the advanced technology of designing each new component and design, model building was carried out in the traditional way, including hand-finish aluminum panels that make up a large part of the body, as well as cross-bar and bumpers are made of carbon fiber. Through hard work and attention to detail, the production of each car in 2012 Disco Volante takes more than 4000 hours, so customers get their cars at 8 months after placing the order.

First Cisitalia 202 rolled out in 1947. The car was developed jointly by industrialist Piero Duzio and designer Battista "Pinin" Farina. This car is one of the first vehicles with bodies in the form of a "single shell". Students of the European Institute of Design in Turin as a graduation project was requested to update the classic Cisitalia 202 in accordance with the tendencies characteristic of the modern sports cars.  From 1947 to 1952 were produced only 170 units. Now to see this car in its original form can be in the New York Museum of Modern Art, where the Cisitalia 202 is an exhibit of the permanent collection. The Cisitalia 202 E is a two seater coupe that measures 4,270mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,240mm tall. The Maserati SUV concept. Kubang sits on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform and has an engine lineup designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli – Head of the Maserati Powertrain Department and for nearly 30 years at Ferrari. So far, Maserati still hasn’t confirm when and if the Kubang will enter production. It was recently reported that the production model will be called ‘Cinqueporte.’

A bit similar to the Lamborghini Revent?n and Aventador. Its aerodynamics is considerably improved by the fact that the front of the car is significantly lower, two air intakes allow cooling air to be directed onto the hot brakes, the back of the, car the large diffuser and the centrally mounted exhausts are designed to resemble the exhaust nozzles of a jet airplane, and the the central positioning of the engine has made cab-forward design.

The supercar will be powered by a mid-mounted 6.2 liter V8 which provides 650 horsepower and a maximum torque of 820Nm, the weight of the car being only 1,300kg. Due to this, the Arrinera will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. The 200km/h barrier will be passed in 8.9 seconds and the top speed is 340km/h. As for the braking system there will be six-piston calipers and 380mm brake discs and four-piston calipers and 350mm brake discs for the rear wheels which are located within 19-inch light-alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 tires at the front and 335/30 R19 at the rear. The first prototype is ready and has been tested, which means that it should hit the market within more or less twelve months from now.

RimacAutomobili is young company that develops and produces high performance electric vehicles, drive trains and battery systems. “Our first car evolved in a short period into a project that didn’t give an end result but a beginning of great new story, of the first world electric hyper car – The Concept(One)” Mate Rimac describes their beginnings. 

Rimac Automobili developed an unique powertrain which is divided into four sub-systems, each consisting of one motor, inverter and reduction gearbox. Each of those systems drives one wheel, completely independent one from the other. The package reminds us of elements from the Devon GTX, Jaguar C-X75 and Koenigsegg – good places to start, all – but without looking derivative as independently made supercars often do. And while many concept cars pay little attention to the interior, this is another area in which the Rimac doesn’t disappoint.

Italian coachbuilder Zagato took over the design replacing the V12 Vantage’s bodywork with an impressive-styled aluminium and carbon fibre shell. Power is provided by Aston Martin’s 6.0-litre V12 engine that churns out 517-horses and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque. The British firm has already confirmed the limited production of the Zagato-penned model, which will go on sale in the summer of 2012. Only 150 cars will be built, each carrying a base price of ?330,000 or approximately US$520,000, and that does not include local taxes…

The Lotus Evora GTE is the weapon of choice for the brand’s entry into the new global motorsport GTE category. The Evora GTE Road Car Concept isn’t merely a paint scheme or homage to a racecar — this is a serious racecar that makes for a very serious road car. The Evora GTE Road Car Concept gets a sequential AMT racing gearbox and ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels with center-lock hubs and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

The roadgoing GTE show car has 420bhp from its race-fettled V6 petrol engine, driving through a sequential gearbox. A Lotus spokeswoman confirmed it was the roadgoing model’s Toyota V6 modded to produce a wodge more power. The exterior has been heavily fettled, too, with an aggressive front splitter and U-shaped rear spoiler sprouting from the boot. Wheels are forged alloy items shod in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa rubber. Inside you’ll find leather and carbonfibre trim galore: the seats are by Recaro, made from composite to trim weight and look the part for posing.  Lotus has serious plans for a production  Lotus Evora GTE .

A key highlight of the CR-Z RR’s interior is the addition of a race-developed information screen that can record chassis and engine data while also housing a Satellite navigation and audio system. As for the cabin, Mugen dressed the seats in a combination of orange leather and black Alcantara and plenty of carbon fiber trim that covers the dashboard, the door panels and the center console.

The CR-Z Mugen RR features a range of bespoke prototype parts, several of which are made from carbon fibre, including the bonnet, passenger doors and rear tailgate. Other unique parts to the car include a full-length carbon-fibre underbody, a twin central-exit exhaust, vented front bumpers and race-developed suspension. A set of orange-colored 4-piston monobloc brake calipers and forged 18-inch alloy wheels in black along with the lively Valencia Orange Pearl paint round off the exterior looks.
