Featuring a never seen before construction method, this car of the future is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system which drives two electric motors turning the rear wheels. Materials that make up the car are d3o and metal rubber </p>
<p>&#160;<a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira1_gHCsB_24429.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept electric car lotus esira" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira1_gHCsB_24429_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="315" /></a> </p>
<p> <span id="more-2352"></span>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira2_ViNfe_24429.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept electric car lotus esira" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira2_ViNfe_24429_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="325" /></a> </p>
<p>The d3o is a non-Newtonian material that usually behaves like a rubbery gel, but when struck immediately turns into an extremely sturdy solid. So, this material could give the passengers great protection during an accident. The metal rubber can be stretched and molded like rubber, making the bodywork react to the movement of the suspension system. </p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira3_XrVks_24429.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept electric car lotus esira" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira3_XrVks_24429_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="328" /></a> </p>
<p>t is also capable of conducting electricity, giving the freedom to adjust the shape in accordance to the onboard computer. The body of the car can change shape while moving to keep the airflow as smooth as possible. The interior give a cockpit like feeling with a lever that looks more like the ejector seat handles of a fighter aircraft and helps to open the doors. I would certainly want to try my hands on this futuristic car’s wheel. </p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotusesiraconceptelectriccar4_1BiqA_11446.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept electric car lotus esira" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotusesiraconceptelectriccar4_1BiqA_11446_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="342" /></a></p>
<p>Well, we need to wait until 2025 to see the electric concept car – pictured above – actually ruling the roads. Dubbed as Lotus Esira, the concept car focuses on shelving those extra pounds to ensure more performance each time you hit the road. The concept car is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system, which drives two electric motors turning the rear wheels. Designer Jack Lamburn brings this out with an extremely supple, featherweight construction, which makes use of d3o, a non-Newtonian material, and the metal rubber. </p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira5_sx6xd_24429.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept electric car lotus esira" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/lotus_esira5_sx6xd_24429_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="325" /></a>&#160; </p>
<p>While d3o initially acts like a rubbery gel, it hardens once it’s applied to ensure perfect solidity in the event of a crash. The ‘electrically conducive’ metal rubber is an ally to the movement of the suspension system. A tubular frame lends support to the bodywork that employs the already explained two components. The shape-shifting bodywork allows the air to flow freely and smoothly. Moreover, it changes shape to follow the angle of the wheels when the front wheels are turned. </p>
<p>The interior of the Lotus Esira makes use of carbon fiber for ensuring safety to driver and passengers. The doors flip open when the user pulls the lever placed under the seats. </p>

The acronym for Auto Motive Visual Racing, AMV-R Supercar’s design is a blend of Italian and German styling. With the perfect balance of exotic and precise surface flow which composes the body shell, the concept car will be powered by a highly efficient twin turbo V10 engine that churns out a mammoth 850hp. Designed as a vehicle that visually lures senses of emotion, the real thunder storming car would surely be a great ride but unfortunately it’s not a prototype and isn’t planned for the production either. </p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept_M5uyU_3868.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept  superca alexei mikhailov" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept_M5uyU_3868_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="240" /></a></p>
<p> <span id="more-2311"></span>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovsupercarconcept1_4q9wh_3868.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept  superca alexei mikhailov" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovsupercarconcept1_4q9wh_3868_thumb.jpg" width="463" height="272" /></a></p>
<p>This car right here goes by the name “AMV-R”, an acronym which stands for Automotive Visual Racing. And it’s fantastic. Your eyeballs are going to explode when you peek at the images in this post’s gallery, if you haven’t already. But then again, if you had already, you wouldn’t have eyes. Designer Alexei Mikhailov presents a spectacular vision that mixes Italian and German styling with an “exotic” and precise surface flow.</p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept2_nam7U_3868.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept  superca alexei mikhailov" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept2_nam7U_3868_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="274" /></a>&#160;&#160;&#160; <a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept3_dyRgP_3868.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="concept  superca alexei mikhailov" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/alexeimikhailovamvrsupercarconcept3_dyRgP_3868_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="244" /></a></p>
<p>If you are wondering how much this costs or how long you have to wait for its creation and delivery, i have to say, unfortunately this exotic beauty is not a prototype, nor it’s planned for production. The AMV-R, as the designer by the name of Alexei Mikhailov named it, is an unusual combination of styles. I say it’s unusual, because the supercar has both Italian and German design. This furious raging beast, has been given the pure Italian jaw-dropping fluid almost organic design and the German sporty design lines, which not only emphasizes the overall quality of the car but also make it unique in every aspect of the way. AMV-R stands for Auto Motive Visual Racing, so speaking in automotive terms, it’s a proper supercar. Visually, the overall design makes even the people from Greenpeace wish they drive it at least one lap on any closed circuit. The carbon fiber body shell, the aluminum chassis and the alloy wheels equipped with racing tires make the AMV-R as light as a feather.</p>

This futuristic car has all the design elements of a sports car.</p>
<p>It gets its energy from electric batteries, hydrogen cells and an interesting mechanism: the rotating blades incorporated into the wheels. They act like windmills and generate the extra power needed to make the H Car a truly eco ride.</p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Concept_Peugeot_H_Car_1.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="Concept Peugeot H Car" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Concept_Peugeot_H_Car_1_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="220" /></a></p>
<p> <span id="more-2288"></span>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_front.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="Concept Peugeot H Car" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_front_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="238" /></a>&#160;&#160; </p>
<p> While car manufactures are trying hard to incorporate solar energy generators in their electric vehicles, car designers are ready with next-gen designs where electric cars won’t rely on solar energy, but will harvest wind energy, which is a far more dependable source of renewable energy, especially if you’re using a fast car to do so. Thomas Pastor is trying this new technology in a concept vehicle he calls the H Car.</p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_top.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="Concept Peugeot H Car" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_top_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="255" /></a></p>
</p>
</p>
</p>
</p>
<p> <a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_rear.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px;border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px" border="0" alt="Concept Peugeot H Car" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Peugeot_hydrogen_concept_car_rear_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="280" /></a>
<p>The concept is powered by hydrogen fuel cells and electric batteries, this zero-emission car seems inspired by flying saucers and merges sustainability, sports car capabilities and luxury in a single package. The car’s wheels double as renewable energy generators, capturing the wind around the wheel, which is in abundance if the car is being driven at a decent speed. The on-board wind turbines help juice up the batteries to extend its range.</p>

<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px" title="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace" border="0" alt="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="358" /></a>&#160;</p>
<p> <span id="more-2132"></span>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace_2.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px" title="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace _2" border="0" alt="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace _2" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace_2_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="315" /></a></p>
<p>To address the changes in driving, the architects have designed the road flipper – a device designed to ‘celebrate’ the traffic switch. It aims to redirect traffic in an efficient and safe way by physically twisting the roads.</p>
<p><a href="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace_3.jpg"><img style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px" title="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace _3" border="0" alt="conceptual bridge Pearl River Necklace _3" src="http://carsworldblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/conceptualbridgePearlRiverNecklace_3_thumb.jpg" width="454" height="146" /></a> </p>
<p>In addition to the bridge, NL Architects have proposed to make some adjustments to the master plan to improve the area. The ‘necklace’ is formed by an archipelago of artificial islands along the border of Hong Kong and China.</p>

Recyclable and ecological materials have been used to craft the concept to make it eco-friendly, while the wheels contains individual electric engines along with heat cell absorbing system to make the vehicle powerful. The innovative solar paint of the car features nano solar panels that generate the energy from the sunlight and the surplus energy is stored in the battery for further use. The recycled plastic bottle made interior is another unique eco-friendly feature of the vehicle that makes it lightweight. Though it takes 8 and half hour to charge the battery in full, it features a quick charging mechanism that allows the battery to be fully charged in 90 minutes only. Designer : Luis Pedro Fonseca</p>

Yes, as we write this post we are listening to “Back in Black” by ACDC.<br />
The Bugatti 16 C Galibier is one of the several concepts which the company is considering for a future model. Power comes from a 8.0L 16-cylinder engine that features two-stage supercharging. The engine is flex-fuel compatible, meaning it can run on ethanol. The Bugatti Galibier rides on a four-wheel-drive system and features ceramic brakes and a new suspension design that enables “agile, always-sure handling of a saloon of this size.”</p>
