The Bentley Jeckyll and Hyde is a zero-emission concept car for the future, which like all other Bentleys is for those with deep pockets. Designed by Bora Kim, the concept car could revolutionize the luxury car industry by merging art, philosophy and sustainability in one package.

The electric car generates renewable energy using flexible solar cells and wind energy generators. These renewable energy generators are deployed according to the climatic conditions. When it’s sunny, the car maneuvers its photovoltaic panels in place and when its windy, the car turns on the wind turbines.

ICONIC Motors and AC have partnered to create the Iconic AC roadster – a  new car with Cobra-inspired retro styling. The company described it as a ‘modern-era muscle car which pays tribute to its historic brethren via its appearance while showcasing the technological advancements of today underneath its skin.’ What you need to know is that it packs 825bhp and 680lb ft, thanks to a slug of 6.8-litre Detroit V8.

The Iconic AC Roadster has a claimed top speed of 210mph and will hit 60mph in less than three seconds, before covering a quarter mile in under nine seconds, and made its world debut at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours. And it’s now on sale.

The car, which will go on sale later in 2010 is sure to prove controversial in Cobra enthusiast circles. But as it’s primarily aimed at the US market, it should not affect sales of the promising German-made AC MkVI. ‘The ICONIC AC Roadster is more than just a car, it’s among the world’s most refined and beautifully designed super cars. It’s the lightest, strongest, most well engineered, high performance roadster of our time. The engine, drive train, support electronics and overall chassis make this one of the most complete vehicle packages on the market today and is made right here in the USA,” said Claudio Ballard, chairman and founder, ICONIC Motors.

AMV-R Supercar is a concept from Alexei Mikhailov who conceived it approximately three years ago. The acronym for Auto Motive Visual Racing, AMV-R Supercar’s design is a blend of Italian and German styling. With the perfect balance of exotic and precise surface flow which composes the body shell, the concept car will be powered by a highly efficient twin turbo V10 engine that churns out a mammoth 850hp. Designed as a vehicle that visually lures senses of emotion, the real thunder storming car would surely be a great ride but unfortunately it’s not a prototype and isn’t planned for the production either.

This car right here goes by the name “AMV-R”, an acronym which stands for Automotive Visual Racing. And it’s fantastic. Your eyeballs are going to explode when you peek at the images in this post’s gallery, if you haven’t already. But then again, if you had already, you wouldn’t have eyes. Designer Alexei Mikhailov presents a spectacular vision that mixes Italian and German styling with an “exotic” and precise surface flow.

If you are wondering how much this costs or how long you have to wait for its creation and delivery, i have to say, unfortunately this exotic beauty is not a prototype, nor it’s planned for production. The AMV-R, as the designer by the name of Alexei Mikhailov named it, is an unusual combination of styles. I say it’s unusual, because the supercar has both Italian and German design. This furious raging beast, has been given the pure Italian jaw-dropping fluid almost organic design and the German sporty design lines, which not only emphasizes the overall quality of the car but also make it unique in every aspect of the way. AMV-R stands for Auto Motive Visual Racing, so speaking in automotive terms, it’s a proper supercar. Visually, the overall design makes even the people from Greenpeace wish they drive it at least one lap on any closed circuit. The carbon fiber body shell, the aluminum chassis and the alloy wheels equipped with racing tires make the AMV-R as light as a feather.

It seems, rather becomes clear, that 1,001hp Bugatti Veyron is not enough for someone who’s overweening ambitions for power and speed. Well, there is no end of freak people in this world who even would ask to ride more than those 2000 mules at 300mph that Dagger GT is the only one to provide in 2011.

Dagger GT’s design is based on the Corvette Cheetah concept and it vows to break every major record, from being the fastest on a straight line to being the quickest around the Nurburgring.
Equipped with Tom’s multi-fuel (petrol/methanol/hydrogen/ethanol), aluminum 572 Twin Turbo engine that churns out 2000hp and 2,710Nm torque mated to a TranStar/Mendeola 6-speed transmission. Equally stunning are the performance figures as the real monster achieves 0-60 mph in 1.5 seconds and quarter mile in less than 6.7 seconds. The car has its outer body made from carbon fiber, whereas high-strength 4130 Chromoly Steel chassis forms the inner structure.

Dagger GT’s will be made available in three different models: “a hard-core racer, a street-legal sport version and a soft-riding luxurious GT-X that combines both speed and comfort”. Dagger GT is a limited edition as only five will be made in 2011 and two of them have already been booked. Sales will begin during the first half of 20112011 for 10 units to be delivered in 2012 and each car is priced at a minimum of US$450,000.

The tuning Gods that created the DTM touring cars, and a majority of the Porsche GT3 race car, have taken an already fire breathing Audi R8 GT and given it an injection of steroids. ABT-Sportsline is the company behind the automotive bliss you see right before your eyes and the details are better than the pictures… if that’s even possible. For starters the “stock” GT-R hits your wallet for more than $400,000. The hood, front and rear bumpers, the rear wing and trunk have all been replaced with carbon fiber and the rear vented window and side windows are made from lightweight polycarbonate.

The stripped out interior boasts racing seats, a full Alcantara interior and light weight wheels. ABT has taken about 220 pounds from the curb weight of the car and I hope you like matted titanium grey and black because those are the only colors they are offered in. ABT has taken that massive V-10 and squeezed a spine twisting 620-hp and 405-lbft of torque out of it thanks to a new air intake, exhaust and ECU remapping. The ABT R8 GT-R hits the 60mph mark in just 3.2 seconds, nails 125 mph in just 9.9 seconds and tops out at 202 mph. All this fun doesn’t come cheap as ABT charges a whopping $600,000 for their special sauce. Does anyone have any extra cash laying around?

Aston Martin has unveiled a refreshed DB9 for the 2011 model year. Although its been around for seven years now, it hardly looks its age. The front of the DB9 gets a new front bumper with a re-shaped lower intake and a new bright finish grille. Other changes include 20-spoke alloy wheels, clear rear taillights and inside there is an optional Double Apex alloy finish.

Under the hood the DB9 is still powered by the same 470-hp 6.0L V12 engine that can be mated to either a six-speed ‘Touchtronic’ paddle-shift automatic or a six-speed H-pattern manual transmission. It has a top speed of 190 mph and reaches 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds. A new adaptive damping system is now standard as well.

Production of the revised 2011 Aston Martin DB9 has already started and deliveries are expected to start next month.

Working on autonomous vehicle systems is all the rage lately, and Mercedes-Benz is no exception. Most of the work has been going within research groups and as part of competitions like the DARPA Urban Challenge. Mercedes-Benz has moved its automated driving work over to driver-assistance test groups. It’s using the automation technology to evaluate crash avoidance systems without putting test drivers and engineers at risk.

By using its autopilot systems, the test maneuvers can be reproduced much more consistently. This isn’t the first time that such systems have been employed in testing. Chrysler built an Automated Durability Road (ADR) at its Chelsea Proving Ground in the mid-1990s. The ADR used robotic drivers for accelerated durability testing over extremely difficult surfaces.

In both cases, the automakers can do far more extreme testing than would be possible with human drivers. Among the things Mercedes will be testing for is unintentional airbag deployments when driving over curbs, and detection of high-speed merging traffic or sudden braking.

The latest big Benz to come out of the Brabus garage is here – the new SL65 Black Series-based T65 RS, and it’s screaming one thing: "That E V12 Coupe in Geneva was a sissy!"

Instead of the standard SL65 AMG Black Series’ 670HP biturbo-V12, it gets the same modded 800-horsepower, 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) twin-turbo Brabus V12 under the hood. Between the engine and that new hood scoop are four intercoolers while the car also gets a new stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts.

With all the modifications, the T65 RS hits 60 in 3.6 seconds (versus the basic Black’s 3.9 seconds) and 200km/h (124mph) in 9.8 seconds, while top speed is once again limited to 320km/h or 200mph

Inside, you’ll notice the Black’s seats (which Clarkson couldn’t bear) have been replaced with luxurious, multifunction pieces. Good call by the owner on that one, especially if this is doing any sort of real driving duties.

In addition to the cab being extended to house an extra set of axle, 213 Motoring which is the Los Angeles branch of the Japanese-based modified car dealership called “Calwing“, modified the exhaust system, tinted the windows, runner boards, visors etc. And check out the whole front end now with 12 running lights looking like a tarantula

But if you prefer white, well here you go. This white 6-wheeled H2 Hummer aka “Ultimate SIX” was pretty heavily modied too but it retained the factory front headlight assembly and grills although the front bumper have been modified with the same piece seen on the black H2 above.
