The open-top version of the McLaren MP4-12C will be the first one to hit the market and battle it out with the new Ferrari 458 Spider. McLaren has already manufactured a prototype of the MP4-12C Spyder with the production version scheduled to be revealed before the end of this year. It is based on the coupe and will be powered by the same 600HP, 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8. MP4-12C Spyder will feature a three-piece roof made of aluminum and plastic and, like the 458, its design will be more like a targa than a full convertible due to the buttresses behind the seats that also act as rollover hoops.  Roof operation takes around 17 seconds, 3 more than the Ferrari, and can be lowered or raised at speeds up to 5 mph (8 km/h).

Both lightweight wheels have a five-spoke design with a concave profiling and come in a diameter of 21 inches. The Ferrari version is finished in black while the BMW rim has a gunmetal gray finish.

German tuning firm TIKT believes that there’s plenty of room for improvement Corvette so it introduced a new take on the ZR1 with its Triple X package.  It all starts with the ZR1′s eight-cylinder powerhouse that gets modified cylinder heads, camshafts, valve springs and compressor ratios plus a larger throttle valve, a completely modified exhaust system, a reprogramed ECU and changes to the cooling system. TIKT then moves on to better the Corvette ZR1′s handling through the use of new race shocks, a lowered suspension by a claimed 50mm (1.9 inches), more powerful brakes and a new set of Zerra Ultralight Evo 2 alloy wheels. The tune sees the 6.2-liter unit deliver an output of 758HP (769PS) and a peak torque of 671.2 lb-ft (910Nm). The final touches come in the form of an aero package that includes a new front bumper with a splitter, side skirts and an oversized rear wing, all made from lightweight carbon fiber. Not bad!

The latest model to receive Wald International’s dark "Black Bison" treatment is the Porsche Panamera sports saloon. As usual, the Japanese tuning firm’s package is centered on a raft of styling parts with minimal performance upgrades. That’s what was done. The four-door coupe received a carbon fiber aerodynamic package consisting of a new front fascia with massive air intakes, front fender air vents, beefier rear wheel arches, a boot lid spoiler, as well as a rear diffuser. In addition to that, the Panamera was fitted with a set of five-spoke lightweight alloy rims that come in a two-tone finish, as well as custom tail pipes. In order to bring the vehicle’s look to a whole new level, Wald International also fitted the vehicle with a suspension that brings it closer to the road. Yes!

India will soon have its own sport car thanks to DC Design’s Avanti that was launched at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. Type approval and on-road tests would follow soon. The prototype that was unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo is constructed around a lightweight but rigid spaceframe chassis. It features unequal-length wishbones and coil over shock absorbers on both axles, 19-inch wheels with 255/35 front and 295/30 rear tires and 330 mm ventilated disc brakes with AP Racing calipers. It is powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine sourced from Ford and tuned to deliver 240HP and 366Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to its compliance with Euro 5 emissions regulations it can also be exported, while a slight change in the engine mapping will make it compatible with the oncoming Euro 6 regulation.  

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Ford-sourced six-speed manual gearbox, while the Avanti will also be optionally available with a dual-clutch PowerShift transmission. Although 240HP combined with a dry kerb weight of 1,562 kg (3,443 pounds) isn’t exactly supercar territory, the Avanti will be priced at a reasonable Rs 30 lakh, or around US$56,000 at the current exchange rates.

The Maserati SUV concept. Kubang sits on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform and has an engine lineup designed in Modena by Paolo Martinelli – Head of the Maserati Powertrain Department and for nearly 30 years at Ferrari. So far, Maserati still hasn’t confirm when and if the Kubang will enter production. It was recently reported that the production model will be called ‘Cinqueporte.’

The long-nosed roadster was developed in close collaboration with Audi Quattro GmbH, which provided a modified version of the 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five found under the hood of the RS3 and TT RS. He  lost 30 kg or 66 pounds over the standard Audi variant. The sports model is built on a tubular hybrid chassis made out of carbon fiber, aluminum and steel, and features a carbon composite body, which help keep the total weight down to around 700 kilos or about 1,550 pounds.  To accommodate the bigger engine, the GTO is a size larger than its predecessors, the GT Coupe and the D8 270RS roadster, measuring about 350mm (13.8-in.) longer and 150mm (5.9-in.) wider. Production of the new car will begin in 2012 with deliveries of a first batch of 25 limited edition models expected in the summer. The regular versions of the GTO will arrive in Europe in the beginning of 2013.

Some like BMW, Audi A8 others. The taste and color of friends there! And if the car touched the hand of Anderson Germany, gives a very excellent machine, such as   Audi A8 Venom. The first thing you’ll notice about the car is the eye-catching satin gunmetal gray with the front grill, all emblems, plus the door handles and window surrounds finished in gloss black. The dark theme continues with the tinted windows and smoked lights. Door panels, center console and the new sports steering wheel are trimmed in carbon fiber, while the seats and the cabin are dressed in a mix of leather and Alcantara in light gray. Performance modifications include a new exhaust system with a racing catalyst as well as a sports air filter and optimized software for the A8′s 4.2-liter V8 that lift output to 442HP, up from 350HP, plus a lowered sports suspension. Everything looks great.

The fourth generation will be the first MX-5 to shun normally aspirated engines in favor of a small displacement turbocharged Skyactiv unit rumored to be a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine. Sure, it’s roomier and more luxurious, but it’s also more expensive and, although in no way a boring car, not quite as fun to drive as the original. In addition, you need to get the 2.0-liter engine to have the same kind of poke the original enjoyed with a 1.6-liter engine and its successor with a 1.8-liter unit.  During the last two decades, most new models are bigger, safer, better equipped but also heavier than the vehicles they replace. The Mazda MX-5 is a typical example: the first generation launched in 1989 tipped the scales at just 980 kg (2,150 lb), while the current, third-generation model starts from 1,095 kg (2,410 lb).

Plenty of tuners willing to modify the 599 according to each customer’s tastes and needs. Anderson Germany is one of those tuners and it has presented a second take on the Ferrari 599. New will  mainly inside where the entire interior has been trimmed in a combination of quilted red leather and black carbon leather with red stitching. On the outside, the Dusseldorf-based tuner finished the 599 in a black color with contrasting red stripes running over the top of the car. The Ferrari model also gets an aero kit made out of carbon-fiber along with red brake calipers, while it rides on a new set of 21-inch glossy black wheels with a red rim.

In addition, the gearshift, door handles, door sills and center console have been manufactured entirely from carbon fiber – allegedly to reduce the car’s weight. The final touch is under the hood where Anderson Germany modified the V12′s ECU software and added a custom-made sports exhaust system the bring output to 674-horses allowing the 599 to complete the standard 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint in a little over 3 seconds.
