AMV-R Supercar is a concept from Alexei Mikhailov who conceived it approximately three years ago. The acronym for Auto Motive Visual Racing, AMV-R Supercar’s design is a blend of Italian and German styling. With the perfect balance of exotic and precise surface flow which composes the body shell, the concept car will be powered by a highly efficient twin turbo V10 engine that churns out a mammoth 850hp. Designed as a vehicle that visually lures senses of emotion, the real thunder storming car would surely be a great ride but unfortunately it’s not a prototype and isn’t planned for the production either.

This car right here goes by the name “AMV-R”, an acronym which stands for Automotive Visual Racing. And it’s fantastic. Your eyeballs are going to explode when you peek at the images in this post’s gallery, if you haven’t already. But then again, if you had already, you wouldn’t have eyes. Designer Alexei Mikhailov presents a spectacular vision that mixes Italian and German styling with an “exotic” and precise surface flow.

If you are wondering how much this costs or how long you have to wait for its creation and delivery, i have to say, unfortunately this exotic beauty is not a prototype, nor it’s planned for production. The AMV-R, as the designer by the name of Alexei Mikhailov named it, is an unusual combination of styles. I say it’s unusual, because the supercar has both Italian and German design. This furious raging beast, has been given the pure Italian jaw-dropping fluid almost organic design and the German sporty design lines, which not only emphasizes the overall quality of the car but also make it unique in every aspect of the way. AMV-R stands for Auto Motive Visual Racing, so speaking in automotive terms, it’s a proper supercar. Visually, the overall design makes even the people from Greenpeace wish they drive it at least one lap on any closed circuit. The carbon fiber body shell, the aluminum chassis and the alloy wheels equipped with racing tires make the AMV-R as light as a feather.

Just about every time Ferrari  comes up with a new variant of one of its supercars – be it the Scuderia, Spider, Challenge, XX or what-have-you – someone takes it upon themselves to imagine what another Prancing Horse from the stable would look like with the same treatment. Some come out looking better than others, but push comes to shove, there is no 458XX, no 599 Challenge and no California  Scuderia. Once in a while, though, someone comes up with something truly intriguing.

In this case, that someone is Sasha Selipanov of Berlin, Germany, also known as the Angry Car Designer. Sasha’s idea? The Ferrari 612 GTO. Only the thing is, these renderings don’t depict what the Scaglietti would look like given the same treatment as the 599 GTO. No, this is something altogether more intriguing. More like a mix between the Aston Martin One-77 and the Ferrari 458 Italia, with a few elements from the original 250 GTO thrown in there for good measure. (Ferrari, Pininfarina? Are you paying attention for the 599’s upcoming replacement?)

Bugatti Streamliner is actually based on the Bentley Continental GT platform, but it sure doesn’t look like any Bentley we’ve ever seen. Now if only it actually existed.

Everything leading up to this drive of the $2 million prototype for the 2012 Audi E-tron started back after the 2003 Detroit Auto Show. That’s when the Audi bosses decided to go ahead with the entire R8 program, something that has since substantially altered what we had formerly come to expect from Audi headquarters in Ingolstadt.

According to a news report from the Detroit Free Press, Chrysler’s super-refreshed Sebring replacement will be called the Nassau, after executives decided the Sebring name has been “tarnished”. More like utterly destroyed.

Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne explained one reason for the name switch, referencing Chrysler’s poor image/entry in the mid-size segment: “If you look at the Sebring and benchmark it against the competition, it’s not where it needs to be.” Hopefully a redesign and a new identity will help out.

This futuristic concept car has been inspired by the bull and is designed with identical features and aesthetics of the same. If you build it, they will come. That would be our advice if Porsche decided to ask us if it should offer a production car based on the 918 Spyder Concept that wowed attendees at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. Somehow, though, we’d imagine that the German automaker would want a more solid business case than our personal opinions. Good news, then.

Rumor has it (by way of Automobile Magazine) that Porsche is actively working with its dealers to find enough buyers who are ready and willing to plunk down their hard-earned dollars on the next halo car from the quintessential sportscar maker. Porsche R&D chief Wolfgang D?rheimer says that the company would be rather pleased "if customer feedback is positive and we end up over time with about 1000 firm orders."

If Porsche were to put its hybrid 918 Spyder into limited production, it wouldn’t be without precedent. Back in the early 2000s, Porsche used a similar tactic to put its awesome Carrera GT on the market… and we all know how that turned out, don’t we? As we said before: If you build it, they will come. In 2009, Spyker CEO Victor Muller spoke about his affection for the Saab Aero X concept, a futuristic yet definitively Saab design with a 400-horsepower, ethanol-fueled and all-wheel drive.
Now, rumors on the Internet hint that a Spyker C8 Aileron-based Aero X may see limited production.

In an interview with AOL, Spyker CEO Victor Muller said the Aero X “deserves to be built,” because of its purity of design. If rumors circulating the Web today prove true, Muller and the new Saab-Spyker Automobiles may already be planning a version of the car based on Spyker’s existing C8 Aileron.

Bugatti today released some new images of its Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept dressed all in black. Yes, as we write this post we are listening to “Back in Black” by ACDC.
The Bugatti 16 C Galibier is one of the several concepts which the company is considering for a future model. Power comes from a 8.0L 16-cylinder engine that features two-stage supercharging. The engine is flex-fuel compatible, meaning it can run on ethanol. The Bugatti Galibier rides on a four-wheel-drive system and features ceramic brakes and a new suspension design that enables “agile, always-sure handling of a saloon of this size.”

Combining the features from a number of vehicles such as Lamborghini, VW and SEAT Leon Cupra R, Austrian designer Adriano Mudri has conceived the RS7 concept for the Audi that other that presenting a hybrid design also minimal LED lights to remove the visual apprehension of Audi’s current corrective lenses. Passing the hood and descending character lines over the front wheels and into the doors, characteristic evident in the SEAT Leon Cupra R, the new Audi concept extracts scissor doors from Lamborghini Murcielago and the rear end from the Audi R8 to complete its hybrid design. Exposing the engine cover, curved to mimic the engine underneath, the Audi RS7 concept presents an interesting but at the same time stunning design upfront.
